Rita Rasmussen, SR/WA, R/W-NAC
Chapter 41, Region 3
Rita Rasmussen, SR/WA, R/W-NAC is the Senior Real Estate Officer for the City of
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is
currently the Voluntary Acquisition Project Lead overseeing the City’s voluntary
acquisition federal programs to acquire approximately 1,300 flood-damaged
parcels affected by an extreme flood that hit the city in June 2008.
Rita also manages the city right of way acquisition projects and the
disposition of City-owned parcels. Rita has been an active member of Chapter 41
since 1993. She currently serves as Chair of IRWA Region 3.
She has been involved in the International Local Public Agency Committee
since 2001 serving as Committee Chair from 2004-2006. Rita was a Balfour
Professional of the Year Finalist in 2007 and in 2002, was honored as Chapter
41’s Professional of the Year. Rita has obtained the SR/WA designation as well
as Right of Way Certification in Negotiations and also holds an Iowa Real Estate
Broker’s license.
